Job Description

As an Expert NSX Cloud Engineer you will be responsible as part of a team of highly skilled professionals for continued designing, developing, testing and integration of a complex NSX based private on-premises multi-tenant cloud datacenter supporting multiple DoD organizations. This is an outstanding opportunity to continue design and integration with a complex NSX technology private cloud datacenter. This position offers great opportunities for technical experience and growth and networking with peers performing design and integration of other private cloud data centers based on NSX or Azure Stack Hub.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, test, integrate, operate and maintain complex SDN solutions based on NSX in the customer private on-premises multi-tenant cloud datacenter using a Zero Trust Architecture methodology

  • Design, test, integrate and migrate NSX to NSX-T
  • Drive the top-level customer requirement for maximum migration/consolidation of stovepipe systems into the multi-tenant cloud datacenter
  • Drive solutions adoption by working with customer to help them understand how the deployed solutions help them achieve their mission
  • Contribute to technical content repository
  • Drive high quality output of both self and team delivering and supporting NSX private cloud datacenter
  • Foster a collaboration through activity and presence
  • Create detailed, implementation-level designs that align with the business strategy, the customer's budget and operational support capabilities
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and other related documentation/data to support the development and approval of these activities.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements

  • Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, SSCP)
  • 10+ years' experience
  • DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire. Preferably a VMware NSX certification with company assistance as needed
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented, strong organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
  • A high-level performer with the ability to be proactive


Preferred Qualifications:
Strong expertise with VMware and/or NSX technologies

  • Strong expertise with micro-segmentation
  • Experience delivering design, testing and integration as code with PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON or Ansible for automation


Security Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years. Candidate must be open to CI poly.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time

  • Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policy
