General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for a mid level Network Engineer in support of the USN ADNS network.

The Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) serves as the tactical Wide Area Network (WAN) for Navy Internet Protocol (IP) network operations, providing shipboard, sub-surface, air, pier side, tactical shore, and shore based WAN gateway services.

This individual will work in a secure lab environment along with others to complete tasks and deliverables for our customer. Must be familiar with enterprise level network hardware, primarily Cisco, to support current and future test events on a simulated enterprise network.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.
  • Prepare, verify, and troubleshoot network to support current tasking
  • Ability to create and review technical documents, including test reports, standard operating procedures, network drawings, etc.
  • Assist fellow Network Engineers in researching new technologies, standards, architectural designs, and implementation strategies.
  • Be able to work alone and with a team to accomplish tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Requires 3+ years of network related experience
  • BS degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Operational/configuration knowledge of Cisco hardware/software (ISR, Catalyst Switches, CSR 1000v)
  • Advanced networking concepts - complex core network design, multicast routing, enterprise routing & switching configurations involving OSPF, BGP, PIM, VRFs
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance (IA), including STIGs, ACAS, Nessus.
  • Knowledge of Voice-Over-IP technologies (Cisco UCM, Avaya CM) desired
  • Experience with SD-WAN services and concepts desired
  • DoD IAT II compliance (Security+ CE/CCNA Security/…) required
  • CCNA or higher level network related certification desired
