Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates initiative and expertise resulting in new technical capabilities and approaches.
  • Designs and codes software components units for windows/web-based technologies.
  • Designs data analytics tool sets
  • Performs full-spectrum of software development lifecycle (SDLC), to include systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing and debugging assigned components and units.
  • Participates in internal and customer meetings, understands requirements, identifies unique use cases, and implements information technology solutions / initiatives.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Tests and debugs assigned components and units.
  • Participates in large system and subsystem planning.
  • Collaborates with system engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.
  • Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Enhances team capabilities, improves security, and maximizes software development Return On Investment (ROI).
  • Maintains all agreed upon professional and technical certifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related software development experience required. 
  • Top Secret SCI Clearance
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a relevant field – may substitute additional years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of the hardware, software, and systems associated with software engineering.
  • 5+ years programming in C# or related programming languages
  • 5+ years programming in Microsoft .NET Technologies
  • 3+ years with database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • 2+ years experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Expert knowledge of Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices
  • Expert knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Professional certification in one or more specific technologies, preferred COMPTIA Security+

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with source control systems (i.e. Git, Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server)
  • 5+ years of experience with task management systems (i.e. Jira, Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server)
  • 5+ years of experience with developing web services/web Application Programming Interfaces (API)s with REST
  • 5+ years of experience with software package managers (i.e. Nuget, NodeJs)
  • Scripting experience
  • Understanding of object-oriented development technique

Familiar with intelligence toolsets and metadata standards.
