Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day inventory activities.
Leads inventory control efforts for all program government property (excluding GFE and facilities property). Focuses daily activities on the conformity of stocking processes, parts labeling, cycle counting, and tasks related to the reduction of inventory shortages.
Executes cycle counting program for all government property.
Coordinates annual inventory for company-controlled government property.
Creates customer facing reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Investigate inventory variances to correct on-hand carrying counts and identify root cause to recommend operational changes to eliminate future occurrence.
Analyzes stocking issues and trends to maintain inventory accuracy levels and administer control practices and procedures.
Executes all necessary inventory changes in contract’s inventory management system.
Supports all inventory control activities preformed on the contract as required.
Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelor’s Degree required with a concentration in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred. Military experience will be considered.
At least 5 years within inventory management, with at least 3 years at the supervisory level and documented improvement in inventory accuracy
Understand the cost drivers to managing inventory stock
Understand the various methodologies of inventory management (FIFO, LIFO, Average)
Candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and someone who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
