GDIT has an exciting Program Management opportunity supporting United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM), United States European Command (USEUCOM), or Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA). The Geographic Site Lead is responsible for the following:
Communicate and coordinate with senior client leadership regarding priorities, strategy, and requirements for superior theater-based support.
Ensure customer and stakeholder business needs are being met and that solutions are aligned with long term goals. Develop, evolve, and apply enterprise Knowledge Management capabilities to maximize collaboration and coordination across stakeholders and communities of interest to accomplish these objectives.
Accountability for all cost, schedule, and requirements execution and risk management for the site
Provide all resourcing and management of site staff and subtractors to support mission and contract requirements
Responsible to support the employment, training, motivation and evaluation of assigned staff.
Participates in information technology project planning and site-specific tasks.
Oversees and supports management of a medium to large teams across multiple disciplines. Medium to High Complexity.
Manages information systems professionals directly or through subordinate managers/supervisors.
Manages the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives.
Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation.
Oversees ordering process to effectively and economically meet objectives.
Supports management of vendor relationships and billing reconciliations.
Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the information systems needs align with the strategic command initiatives.
Leadership Experience Requirements:
Experience in effectively managing cross-functional teams and/or servant leadership, managing conflict, and cultivating strong relationships.
Exhibits excellent listening skills and employs effective staffing retention and engagement strategies. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, compassion for people, and cultural and thought diversity.
Experience leading enterprise ITSM operations and geographically dispersed teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Joint, Combatant Command, or North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) staff experience preferred.
Past experience at USAFRICOM, USEUCOM, or United States Army Europe (USAREUR).
Experience working with Partner Nation/Allied/Coalition members in a defense environment.
Knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
Familiar with DoD IT Service Management (ITSM) in Europe and Africa
Knowledge of Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System (BICES) and Mission Partner Environment (MPE).
Industry recognized Information Technology Certifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
10+ years of experience managing large technical and operational teams
3+ years Information Technology experience
PMI PMP certification
ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
US Citizenship and a current active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance; with SCI ELIGIBILITY
Ability to live OCONUS for at least a year
