GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is looking for a Software Development Manager that will take an active role in the development, management, and lead software development product teams within GDIT Technology Shared Services.

This role will directly contribute to the continued growth and success of the Technology Shared Services organization by leading large-scale (and/or multiple small) teams with an emphasis on leadership and management competencies to enhance the Robotic Process Automation and AI delivery teams by creating and fostering a high performance, people driven culture.

In this role, you will engage government stakeholders and developers to help set the vision and strategic direction of solutions in coordination with delivery of systems and software packages.  You will develop and implement process automations while leveraging your leadership and management and CPI competencies to continually enhance customer and internal processes.

This role is a government stakeholder facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the team to achieve those expectations to a high standard.   In addition, you will be responsible for improving, optimizing, standardizing, and streamlining processes that yield improvements to RPA/AI delivery and the customer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile scrum meetings, and ceremonies, across multiple teams including driving alignment to Agile principles and processes
  • Grow and develop deployment teams including mentoring staff.
  • Leads meetings with internal teams, government stakeholders and other business areas
  • Develop, manage, and maintain financial documentation and processes including license usage, resource utilization, and forecasting
  • Supervises assigned technical staff, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements, statement of works, and other program documents.
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
  • Develops, maintains, and follows standard operating procedures for the team, including the use of internal tracking systems and documentation.
  • Supports oversight of engineering projects or initiatives, through the lifecycle, including design, test and deployment.
  • Supports the planning and deployment of application deployment efforts, involving multiple system integrations, mission-critical resources and a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Maintains vendor relationships
  • Actively participates in business development activities, answering request for information, and authoring proposals to build GDIT business pipelines
  • Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned

Required: 

* Must be able to obtain a US Secret Clearance

  • BA/BS or equivalent years of experience plus+ 5 years of relevant IT experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams to successfully meet or exceed customer defined Service Level Agreements against multiple performance metrics
  • Expert knowledge Agile and Continual Process Improvement including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Strong experience deploying software and systems for large and complex organizations/enterprises
  • Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams to successfully meet or exceed customer defined Service Level Agreements against multiple performance metrics
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating/coordinating cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, operationalize, document, and support solutions

The likely salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
