Our work depends on a Storage Services Architect joining our team to support the DCSA Customer in the Quantico area.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Storage Services Architect supporting a federal government customer, you will be trusted to design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • The Storage Services Architect coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration and formal testing.
  • Manages and documents system configurations.
  • Oversees the transition into production process.
  • Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
  • The Storage Services Architect maintains the data center services architecture and design in compliance with DoDAF, DCSA EA, and ER 25-1-112.
  • Works with other architects, service leads, engineers, developers, and stakeholders to develop designs, plans, training, procedures, and strategic approach for developing and implementing Data Center Services.
  • Leads analyses and provides recommendations for transition of services to new technologies that provide value in cost savings, efficiency, uptime, and can be consumed in an ITaaS model.
  • Oversees the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of data center related infrastructure, storage, network, compute, virtualization, data protection, disaster recovery, and monitoring.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of experience as storage engineer 
  • DoD 8570 IAT III - one of the following IA certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP Compute Environment Certification In addition to the baseline IA certification requirement for their level listed above the DoD 8570.1 mandate states IATs with privileged access must obtain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certifications for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support as required by their employing organization. (e. g. Microsoft certifications for Microsoft systems support technicians for the specific system the IAT is spending most of his or her time supporting)
  • Position requires current eligibility for TS/SCI clearance
