GDIT is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the NASA Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) contract. The AEGIS Program Manager will ensure successful execution of all planning, engineering, operational and customer relationship management activities, delivering GDIT thought leadership and technical expertise to NASA's office of the CIO for corporate and mission communications, design, optimization and operational support of Local- and Wide-Area Network (LAN/WAN) services for all NASA centers within the US and abroad. Positon contingent upon award.
Successful candidate is expected to:
Manage all contractual, technical and operational aspects of the program from inception to completion;
Be responsible for the cost, schedule and resource management of the program;
Be accountable for profit/loss of the contract;
Serve as the primary customer point of contact for program activities, communicating with and taking direction from the customer management;
Lead program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance of the program;
Lead the implementation of leading-edge IT solutions to improve the customer's mission effectiveness while continuously increasing efficiency through processes and technology improvement;
Manage contract resources to achieve program objectives and deliver high quality services within the scope of the contract;
Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to all GDIT and subcontractor personnel. Successfully build, incentivize and manage effective service delivery teams and balance work between them;
Monitor program performance, identify and recognize program performance issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives;
Identify, manage and mitigate risk, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively prioritize large-scale, complex multi-disciplinary projects in an integrated and holistic manner;
Possess a positive and assertive management style, establish and maintain positive relationships with the customer, within GDIT and within the program’s team;
Successfully operate and thrive under pressure.
Education and Experience Sought:
MA/MS degree with 12 years of relevant experience or BA/BS degree with 18 years of relevant experience;
12+ years of experience leading projects and managing programs involving management, planning, integrating and implementing complex IT infrastructure and/or communications services;
PMI PMP certification;
ITIL Foundations v3 or higher certification;
7+ years of experience directly managing major IT operations, engineering and/or systems integration programs with an average annual value of $100M or more and at least 200 subordinate personnel;
Experience and requisite skills implementing and managing IT service delivery in a managed service environment;
Experience managing and perfecting managed service and DevOps delivery models in support of continuous development, continuous integration environments;
Hands-on ability with delivery using hybrid cost models (Firm Fixed Price, Cost-Plus Award Fee, Firm Unit Price), managing complex resource balancing challenges while achieving desired outcomes;
Demonstrated ability to manage diverse functional activities distributed nationwide; experience interacting with NASA headquarters and regional management and other NASA personnel is highly desired;
Strong independent leadership and management skills with proven success effecting organizational culture change and achieving continuous process improvement;
Excellent client-facing communication skills; ability to present and defend complex technical and management priorities at all customer levels, from technical and engineering staff to the executive level;
Direct experience managing NASA programs and/or IT infrastructure.
