GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to help support the Implementation Coordination and Control Center on our TO35 activities!

NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract re-award and funding.

As a Network Engineer, you will be trusted to provide technical engineering assistance to all phases of network development, operation, management, and implementation. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Assist in testing, technology insertion, and evaluation/testing as required.
  • Coordinate ASI and non-ASI implementation activities with DISA Global Operation Command (DGOC) personnel as well as with the node sites, installation vendors, and government installation teams.
  • Maintain current status of all implementation activities
  • Support the coordination and scheduling of logistical needs with the DISA warehouse
  • Forecast a 90-day schedule of implementation activities
  • Coordinate with site POCs to ensure receipt, acceptance, temporary storage, and securing of shipped assets
  • Review, analyze, and become technically astute on the DISA implementation process and associated documents (TSIP, MBOM listing, IBOM listing, Telecommunications Service Request (TSR)), Telecommunications Service Order (TSO), Telecommunications Request (TR), for asset deployment and receipt in support of the DoDIN.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active (or Interim) DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance. Candidates without a clearance will be considered contingent upon their ability to complete the clearance process.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • 2 years experience
  • Willing to travel, as travel is required for this role.
  • Install telecommunication equipment and associated devices for circuit activation/upgrade
  • Complete circuit cabling/wiring between commercial equipment, site OSP, and DISA devices
  • Install, troubleshoot, and test telecommunication circuits ranging from T-1 to 100G Ethernet utilizing visual fault isolators, optical power meters, bit error rate test sets, and other similar test equipment required to isolate circuit issues
  • Perform network hardware equipment installation for replacement and upgrades on existing DoDIN devices
  • Provide technical documentation and other administrative support for projects associated with installations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Install, configure, and activate circuits utilizing crypto equipment; KG experience
