GDIT is seeking an experienced Program Manager in support of Department of Defense (DOD) program. This individual will manage and coordinate all project team activities and personnel, formally manage, track, and report project activities with respect to schedule, cost, risk, and key milestones in accordance with established business processes and direction from the customer. Develop and maintain project schedules, facilitate monthly scheduled meetings, review updates and discuss progress and associated risks/resolutions. Interface with other functional areas where necessary. The successful candidate will build collaborative and productive relationships with U.S. Army customer to deliver value and to grow our impact to ensure quality and effectiveness of solutions and profitable service delivery. Candidate must work in close vicinity of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).   

In this role, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, coordinate and direct the administrative, program control and technical personnel activities involved in providing services to fulfill the contract requirements.
  • Ensure timely, complete, high-quality contract deliverables; ensure SLA's are met or exceeded 100% of the time.
  • Manage and control schedules, cost and personnel to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
  • Act as the main POC in coordinating with Government leadership and assigned COR to provide regular updates on cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the production of cost reports, staffing reports, and monthly status reports (MSR).
  • Provide metrics and dashboards to make program status and performance visible to the client and other stakeholders.
  • Direct recruiting efforts on the program with the support of corporate recruiting and HR resources to fill open positions expediently.
  • Oversee the execution of the complete software life-cycle for military systems, and recommend improvements and optimizations to improve the lifecycle outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods for the acquisition, support, and cybersecurity of software and computer resources for Army systems.
  • Direct operations and ensure compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Resolve technical and administrative problems and provide value-added input to managing program risks and issues.
  • Understand, follow, and promote the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto.
  • Understand, follow, and promote continuous cyber security risk management.


  • Active Secret security clearance is required to begin employment
  • PMP certification
  • ITIL 4 certification/experience preferred
  • Experience overseeing software/application, infrastructure support, and/or cybersecurity programs is highly preferred
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command is highly preferred
  • BA/BS degree in an associated discipline
  • Minimum of 8+ years of program managerial experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritize workload of subordinates to align with project requirements and company initiatives
  • Proven track record of completing projects on schedule, within budget parameters
  • Ability to write technical/price proposals, statements of work, technical Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents and other project-related documentation
