At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Transition Manager, you will lead the effort to transform mission support services to an enterprise operating model

  • Lead the effort to incorporate NASA services and centers into the enterprise consolidating Enterprise and Center processes and techniques
  • Support a successful unification, consolidation, and use of NASA’s cybersecurity and privacy processes at the enterprise while maintaining mission focus, improving efficiency, ensuring local authority and valuing the workforce
  • Collaborate with the GDIT Phase-In Manager to prepare the team for assuming contractual and technical responsibilities within 60 days of contract award
  • Lead the Transition Team who will support the team in planning, performing, improving onboarding, and execution of Centers and Enterprise tasks
  • Tailor existing processes to incorporate enterprise requirements and introduce new processes to broaden the repeatability of enterprise services that focus on the CIO objectives to increase OCIO’s customer focus; simplifying the customer experience; delivering reliability and innovation; optimizing available resources; and measuring performance and risk
  • Collaborate with Site Leads at each Center/Facility through the shift to enterprise governance
  • Support GDIT’s iterative approach to Cybersecurity services consolidation to ensure flexibility and effective governance, while also aligning across the Centers and Enterprise.
  • Support the PM, Core and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Teams in addressing communication priorities for successful transformation (e.g., identifying stakeholder outreach objectives, actions, timing, frequency, methods, and expected results)


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in transition activities for programs similar in scope and complexity, including at least one successful contract phase-in from contract execution of all deliverables
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of change management principles and best practices
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and writing).  Will interact with the government customer, leadership and technical teams so skills and experience in this area is preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
