Detailed Position Description:

GDIT is looking for a Data Entry Operator II to add, update, and maintain accurate and useable information in the customer’s databases using the customer’s computer systems.  Responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases, maintaining accurate records of valuable information, and supporting customer document imaging projects and tasks designed to comply with government directives and mandates for fully integrated electronic recordkeeping to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability.  The ideal candidate has essential data entry and document processing and imaging (scanning) skills, with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms.  You will work with the customer, the GDIT team, and the Program Manager.  Previous experience in a similar position is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry

  • Entering customer and associated metadata from source documents

  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output

  • Inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents

  • Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents

  • Resolving issues quickly

  • Identifying and eliminating duplicates as needed

  • Identifying documents to be rescanned

  • Applying data techniques and procedures

  • Storing completed work in designated locations

  • Scanning documents, validating documents, and printing files as needed

  • Keeping information confidential

  • Responding to queries for information and accessing relevant files

  • Complying with data integrity and security policies

  • Ensuring proper use of office equipment and addressing any malfunctions

  • Coordinating and/or shipping boxes of scanned documents to the Federal Records Center

  • Documenting and reporting daily and/or weekly production figures

  • Delivering services and solutions reliably on time or early

  • Ensuring compliance with government directives and mandates

  • Completing all required compliance learning for both GDIT and the customer

Requirements:

  • Favorably adjudicated Background Investigation

  • Proven data entry and document imaging work experience

  • Experience with MS Office products, Kofax, and other relevant software programs

  • Familiarity with administrative duties

  • Experience using a scanner and associated software

  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

  • Detail-oriented

  • Confidentiality

  • Organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks

  • High school diploma

  • Additional computer training or certification is an advantage
