General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking motivated, customer-oriented IT Program Managers and Sr. IT Program Managers to add to our growing Account Team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
This individual will apply program management techniques to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of products and ensure their compliance with all contract requirements. You will also act as a liaison between the CDC and GDIT to identify and manage reach-back support for new technical requirements and subject matter expertise, as needed. You will have hands-on program and project responsibilities and balance project execution with business development.
Atlanta area is preferred, but open to remote for the right candidate!
Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities.
Identify and win executable business for CDC clients through applying expertise in the business development life cycle; from opportunity identification through shaping, capture and proposal, and contract startup and execution.
Leverage senior-level leadership and extensive CDC relationships.
Lead complex negotiations with industry partners to build teams supporting procurements.
Lead captures for technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technical solution options, and building a cost-competitive industry team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid.
Drive market-based competitive intelligence, market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts to support expanding specific client-based opportunity portfolios and pipeline.
Work with the GDIT CDC Account team to establish and navigate key stakeholder relationships and keep the business leadership team informed and engaged in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners.
Act as hands-on program or project manager managing teams in the areas of DevOps, Cloud implementations, data analytics, or other technology projects.
Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program(s).
Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
Supervises a team of employees and contractors.
Required Skills and Experience:
BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of experience
Experience with managing multiple projects, including adjusting to shifting priorities and solving problems quickly
Strong technical background including experience in a similar mission critical technical environment
Experience supervising direct staff
Desired Skills and Experience:
Masters degree in Information Systems or MBA is preferred
2+ years of experience supporting CDC strongly preferred
IT experience/background preferred
PMP and/or CSM certification is strongly desired
Experience supporting federal government agencies in either project management
Proposal development experience
Experience or expertise in technologies such as Cloud, DevOps, Cyber Security, Analytics, or data lake/data management
Experience managing programs or portfolio of programs in excess of $10M/year in revenue is preferred
Prior experience managing subcontractors cost and performance
