GDIT is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our team.

Provide technical support to Program IT systems including day-to-day operations, server administration, and problem resolution.

Some telework allowed but candidate must be local to the office.

Ability to get a DHS EOD and a SECRET clearance.

Chosen individual should have:

  • 5+years of experience in Microsoft server administration, applying system patches and STIGs.
  • Five years of experience identifying and analyzing server requirements; planning the design and deployment of new technologies and upgrades.
  • Five years of Microsoft IIS experience configuring and setting up websites.
  • Five years of experience applying industry best practices on Windows Server 2012 R2 and later operating systems encompassing configuration, implementation, and security.
  • Experience remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Experience using PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate common and repeating tasks.
  • Experience Installing and Configuring Software
  • Experience writing training manuals and user guides and other system documentation.
  • Ability to deploy web code and install windows services developed by in house Software Team.
  • Ability to work with other groups within the company to troubleshoot technical issues pertaining to Windows Servers, Desktops/Laptops, and networking.
  • Assist users to obtain access to resources such as share drives, applications, databases and Active Directory groups.
  • Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions.

Nice to have:

Microsoft Azure experience

ISSO experience in a DHS or DOD environment.

The preferred candidate must have a willingness to learn new technologies, accept new duties and support dynamic work environment a must. He or she may be required on occasion to support weekend/off-hour tasks.

5 years of experience; BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
