At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
Strategically managing time requirements effectively to include scheduling, managing, and disseminating the Department FO Manager's personnel calendar
Monitoring e-mail/phones and other types of correspondence for action items
Drafting and preparing non-routine letters, memos, documents, and various reports
Scheduling and attending meetings as appropriate - take minutes and/or share action items and other pertinent information
Managing office functions while recognizing the need to continuously adapt the schedule
Maintaining office phone lists and emergency call rosters
Reviewing, editing, and finalizing Sponsor correspondence, including writing moderately complex text memoranda, ensuring documents are properly formatted and are grammatically correct. Preparing Power Point presentations as needed
Planning, organizing, and coordinating office events (e.g. off-sites, conferences, ceremonies), as needed
Managing the schedule and security requests for internal/external speakers, visitors and security clearances.
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Arrival/Departure time: 7 am to 3 pm, 8 am to 4 pm, or 9 am to 5 pm
Must possess effective communication skills
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
