GDIT is working to support the day to day IT, network, and cyber systems for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDDNA) and have an opportunity for a Network Analyst.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Network Analyst will be responsible, in general, with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the network as well as assisting with the installation, layout of DoD networks. The person filling this role may be required to create hardware and software configurations in order to improve network functionality and efficiencies. Additionally, the network analyst will be involved with providing technical solutions and documents used to ensure customer mission success. Duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Identify, analyze and resolve technical problems for NSWCDD DNA Excepted/Legacy/RDT&E Networks, Stand-alone, IT Portfolio Repository (ITPR) and Enterprise Networks.
  • Provide network documentation, training, and guidance to computing system clients and application developers.
  • Review and store network event logs.
  • Prepare documents required for the procurement package and lifecycle management of the hardware, software and services that maintain and/or enhance the RDT&E networks capabilities.
  • Provide cybersecurity planning support to contribute to the production and integration of compliant technologies and functionality in a network-centric environment.
  • Conduct technical security tests and evaluations of NSWCDD DNA’s classified and unclassified networks and/or systems to determine compliance with appropriate Information Assurance (IA) or Cyber Security (CS) controls and risk mitigation strategy.


  • Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years of expert experience with Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) and the Naval Networking Environment (NNE) strategy.
  • DoD SECRET Clearance
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) -or- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) I, II or III
  • Demonstrating experience in the NEN program related to ordering, seat refresh, day-to-day troubleshooting of AMCI administrative issues.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Enterprise level experience designing, engineering, operating and maintaining network security infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting computer network installation, maintenance and support.
  • Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP and Ethernet networking.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar technical field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Routing & Switching (CCNA-R&S)
