Job Description

While hundreds of first -time investors are turning to the markets to help pay for their homes, send their children to college and secure their futures the mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is becoming all the more vital.  GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.

The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC’s IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC. Currently; we are seeking a Mobile Device Engineer in Washington, D.C. The selected candidate must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance, per contract requirements.

Mobile Device Engineer 2 Duties

  • Develop ad hoc reports in regards to mobile device OS compliance, mobile device profiles, and recent usage of devices, using the AirWatch (or other MDM) console. 
  • Will advise and work closely with the MDM team and Remote Access teams on all issues with iPhones, iPads, and potentially other mobile devices.  Identify mobile device issues and be able to advise the SEC on the best course of action in regards to upgrades, best practices, security concerns, and device migrations.
  • Develop mobile device OS documentation including; installation and upgrade/update guides as well as device migrations using Apple Configurator (or Android equivalent) and  MDMs.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 5 years’ experience supporting mobile devices. Experience with current models of phones and tablets at the SEC is needed. 
  • Must have 2 years’ experience configuring devices with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guide (DoD STIG)  for the iOS or Android. 
  • Must have experience with troubleshooting mobile device issues such as, bugs, enhancements, user interface problems, and enrollments in a Mobile Device Managers (MDM). 
  • Familiarity with government best practices surrounding mobile devices is required. Certification related to Mobile Device support, such as Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT) 2019 or CompTIA+, can substitute for 3 year(s) of experience.
