The Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) undertakes the mission to maximize opportunities for Service Members (active duty, reserve components, and National Guard), Coast Guard, Veterans, and their families to thrive through a collaborative global network promoting resilience, recovery, and reintegration for Psychological Health (PH).

GDIT is seeking a Sr. Data Analytics Analyst to perform the below duties:

  • Manage and produce analytics reported for all aspects of the in Transition program.
  • Shall be able to identify and report fluently on all metrics associated with the program in a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Provide routine and ad-hoc data analytics inquiries and reports
  • Develop and utilize methodologies for capture, collection and analysis of healthcare outcomes data.
  • Design and manage databases as requested by the government
  • Create data sets for outcomes analysis and reporting
  • Apply expertise in statistical methods and quantitative data collection
  • Perform data analysis on large data sets including using software such as SPSS, R, and SAS
  • Provide data collection and reports in support of program evaluation efforts that support the activities of the PHCoE
  • Knowledge and understanding in quantitative and qualitative evaluation activities involved in the collection, organization, analysis, preparation, processing, and reporting of large volumes of data.
  • Run descriptives, frequencies, and complete data mining tasks to prepare for analysis
  • Construct syntax and compute/recode variables to assist with data cleaning and statistical analysis
  • Score data (for standardized measures) to prepare for analysis
  • Screen for missing data and impute scores for missing values (using appropriate statistical methods)
  • Clean data to ensure that outliers have been resolved, data is distributed normally (by examining skewness and kurtosis), that required assumptions are met for specific types of analyses, skip logic is accurate, and that entry is standardized
  • Perform data quality assurance (QA) tasks, including data validity, consistency, and completeness checks
  • Create and implement data export process for data collected electronically (either by fillable PDF or web based), including but not limited to: constructing syntax for import and recoding, managing organization of electronic files, troubleshooting PDF/web based errors, and merging multiple databases
  • Track deadlines and monitor progress on data tasks to ensure databases will be ready for data analysis (in accordance with pre-set deadlines)
  • Create and maintain tracking system to ensure that all data is entered and checked, and no duplicates are encountered
  • Develop performance standards for data entry, data QA, and hard copy QA tasks


  • Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelors degree in health sciences, computer science, information system management or a related field required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of system analysis and design, SQL, data upload and statistical data set creation for data analysis; experience with relational databases; excellent communication skills. S/he must adhere to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.
  • Minimum Experience: 4-6 years’ experience with data analysis. Prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care strongly preferred.
