GDIT’s Strategy and Performance Group (SPG) is looking for a midlevel Web Developer with multimedia skills who is proficient in several software development tools, talented in visual design, is a self-starter who requires little supervision, and enjoys working multiple tasks, in a distributed environment.  The person hired for this position will be working on a team of other highly skilled multimedia developers, programmers, instructional designers, and technical writers. The work can be fast-paced, with the opportunity to work multiple projects for multiple customers concurrently. Innovation is key, and the desire to learn and apply new skills that can help further our customers’ missions.


  • Expectation of 60% multimedia production and 40% web development/SharePoint administration.
  • Create multimedia products based on requirements provided by the customer and the project management.
  • Develops videos, multimedia interactions, original graphics, and design recommendations.
  • Remains current on web development and multimedia software tools, presentation styles, and development trends.
  • Works with Instructional Designers to select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as web-based training, webinars, Instructor Led Training, or online videos.
  • Proficient working with web development tools.
  • Proficient working with interactive Web technologies to blend text, graphics, multidimensional images, sound, and video.
  • Adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines.
  • Develops and updates html pages (Drupal), SharePoint pages, and maintains existing content.
  • Provide Section 508 compliant deliverables or compliant alternate versions.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in Adobe Cloud software, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier, Animator and Dreamweaver.
  • Ability to produce videos from storyboards or update existing videos.
  • Familiarity with Camtasia or Captivate.
  • Web development coding skills to include CSS, JavaScript, and HTML 5.
  • Experience working with Drupal and other CMS.
  • Experience working with SCORM, and LMS administration.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint administration.
  • Be comfortable working directly with customers and Senior staff.
  • Willingness to learn new products quickly and apply best practices.
  • Comfortable working on a distributed team, while working remotely.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 requirements, and application to product development.
  • Must be “clearable,” meaning they already hold a CBP BI, or able to obtain one.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS, 2+ years experience

The likely salary range for this position is $51,085 - $85,301, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
