GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo-Pacific program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
Sets up administrator, user and service accounts.
Maintains system documentation.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates requisition and installation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Develops and implements backup recovery.
Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
May program in an administrative language.
Develops and implements application testing strategies and document results.
Provides advice and training to end-users.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
Maintains and provides the guidance and troubleshooting for the hyper-converged infrastructure architecture enclaves within the network boundary.
Supports and leads the STIG and RMF updates for all systems within the network enclave boundary.
Participates in special projects as required.
Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support.
Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software.
Experience in virtual computing environments.
Experience in HBSS
Dell VRTX experience preferred
Experience with VMWare, VSphere, VCenter
Familiar with Linux (RedHat) and SQL software
Familiar with ACAS
Professional Certification(s) are required Baseline Certification (IATII):
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a certificate or certification meeting evolving computing environment requirements: Microsoft Windows 10 (or newer); Microsoft Server 2012 (or newer)
Education:
BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
5-8 years of experience; Military training and training support at Brigade and above highly preferred.
Comp TIA SEC+ is required
Clearance:
Position requires a SECRET clearance; candidate MUST be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
