The Solutions Architect will be responsible for ensuring the technology and solution alignment of all development and maintenance work on the program.


  • Lead solution development and IT architecture to deliver the achievement of the Technology Roadmap. 
  • Determine the best technical solution to solve a problem or deliver the business requirement.
  • Ensure all application and infrastructure solutions are designed, developed, and maintained holistically to deliver BPA management and IT objectives and Technology roadmap. 
  • Ensure that all solutions comply with program wide technical design, coding, and security standards.
  • Ensure that all solutions are developed to maximize reuse of services and components, meet required performance standards, and minimize maintenance costs.
  • Present and describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of application and COTS software to project stakeholders.
  • Defining features, phases, and solution requirements.
  • Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience leading solution architecture and design using diverse sets of development and GIS technologies and functional skills on large programs
  • 5 + years of system development experience using Agile Scrum methodologies

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert-level ability to understand overall IT strategy and apply/implement IT strategy in assigned projects/initiatives
  • Expert-level ability to communicate complex technical information and solutions with senior level Government or Industry stakeholders
  • Formal advanced Scaled Agile accreditations such as Scaled Agile (SAFe) Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager is preferred
