At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  We are seeking a Procurement Analyst Advisor to join our team to support our LMSS Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground.  As a Procurement Analyst Advisor,  you will be trusted to provide support and subject matter expertise related to the procurement life-cycle (but not limited to) Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Proposals, Purchase Order Negotiation, Purchase Orders and Closeout.

*Position will remain fully remote post-COVID restrictions; therefore this role can be done from anywhere outside the DC metro area.**

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Develops, negotiates and administers assigned NDAs, TAs, Purchase Orders, and other related agreements in accordance with client requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Influences and leads discussions on proposal and program strategy as it relates to direct materials.
  • Ensures timely processing of purchase order negotiations for fair and reasonable pricing as well as terms and conditions with assistance from management and input from relevant stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Participates in problem resolution related to procurement requirements by providing advice based on procurement interpretation.
  • Serves as a liaison facilitator between the program team and the Vendor regarding contracting issues, escalating potential issues to management.
  • Coordinates with program managers and all matrixed organizations to ensure purchase order requirements are fulfilled.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced procurement analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Creates and reviews procurement team files for audit compliance with customer and corporate policies.
  • Maintains heightened knowledge of relevant procurement procedures and practices.
  • Participates and offers opinions on proposal and program strategy.
  • Initiates and maintains an extensive network of communication with industry peers.
  • Manages special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS plus eight (8) years related experience OR 12 years related experience in lieu of the degree
  • Extensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in procurement administration
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned purchase orders, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS
  • Extensive administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate and negotiate independently
  • Developing effective research and presentation techniques
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Extensive GDIT business acumen

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint.
  • Related certifications highly preferred.
