GDIT is seeking an Intelligence Instructor/Trainer to join our team.
In order to effectively train professional Intelligence Officers and Intelligence Analysts, the assigned Trainer must possess the subject matter expertise in the courses taught. In order to gain credibility with the students, the Trainer must be able to articulate real world experiences in applying the training material in intelligence or law enforcement.
Instructors shall be expected to operate appropriate Microsoft-compatible desktop applications, audio-visual equipment including laptops, audio video projectors, screens, pointers, and other classroom devices.
Instructors must be experience in curriculum development software such as Adobe Captivate and curriculum delivery systems such as Black
• Instructors must be properly cleared with DHS suitability at the required clearance level for each course of instruction prior to the course date with sufficient time to learn the material to be taught.
• Instructors must be able to achieve DHS ITA Instructor Certification in compliance with the ITA’s Instructor Certification SOP and IAW FLETA Accreditation requirements for Instructor Certification.
Travel to CONUS is required.
• The intelligence officers assigned to this contract must have:
o Ten (10) years of intelligence experience at the federal level is required.
o Five (5) years of direct operational experience in the subject taught is required. (For example, instructors designated to teach analytic methods must have five years of experience applying analytic methods in a Federal or State Intelligence Analyst position.)
o Two (2) years of experience operating in the Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Enterprise or the Homeland Security Enterprise.
o A four-year degree from an accredited institution of higher learning is required.
(Degrees in law enforcement, intelligence studies, and education are desirable); Federal or State experience exceeding 15 years in the subject that the instructor will teach and a 2-year associate’s degree may be substituted for a 4-year degree with approval from the government.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS, 8+ years experience
• Instructors must have competed a minimum of a 40 hour Basic Instructor
Certification Course that covers the following competencies: Ethical Issues in
Training; Principles of Adult Learning; Presentation Skills; Student-Centered
Learning; Instructional Systems Design; Performance Objectives Development;
Testing and Assessment; Training Tools and Technology; Lesson Plan
Development; Instructional Methodologies; Introduction to Presentation Graphics;
Evaluating Laboratories and Practical Exercises; Classroom Management Issues; and instructor lesson observation and feedback at time of Task Order assignment.
