Help support our newly awarded SCITES program. 7 year contract supporting USSOUTHCOM. Great opportunity to get in on the "ground floor" as we build from scratch a brand new network operating service center to support customer as they carry out their mission within SOUTHCOM AOR.
Individual chosen for this role will be responsible to provide technical solutions related to areas such as management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. Analyze customer requirements to determine optimal network solutions. Monitor network performance and troubleshoots and resolve complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network. Use subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.
Create, maintain and delete user accounts. Plans, installs and maintains network systems for multiple classifications. May provide installation, maintenance and repair of CISCO network hardware and software.
Develop and/modifies process and technical documentation. Create back-up procedures, test plans, and related reports. Plans and diagrams the physical layout and location of devices and the connection between devices participating on the network. Evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades. Maintains operating efficiency and stability, and ensures the security and integrity of all systems and data.
May function in a "Tier III" support role, resolving the most complex network issues escalated by Tier II support. Provides guidance to less-experienced network personnel.
