GDIT provides the day-to-day operational services to FDIC in support of infrastructure, facilities, hardware, software, and systems. Responsibilities in this customer-centric role include:

Responsible in migrating on-premise Microsoft services to Microsoft Azure Cloud. The candidate will provide architecture and automation enhancement, and best practices regarding Microsoft collaboration of products (Email to the Cloud – Office 365, SharePoint Online, One Drive, and Skype for Business) for a large Federal Agency IT Contract.

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing cloud services solutions (O365) and traditional infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborating with a team of highly skilled, mission focused professionals
  • Managing enterprise IT system development and engineering efforts
  • Researching emerging technologies to determine impact on application/system integration and execution.
  • Working with project management teams to execute infrastructure improvements
  • Triage unmet technical requirements to develop technology solutions that deliver value to the FDIC, sometimes offering new technology investment concepts.
  • Accomplish written functional and technical specifications of software based solutions and services.
  • Provide weekly status reports
  • Experience developing and managing an integrated project team structure and assignments.
  • Develop comprehensive deployment plans for new solutions.
  • Provide engineering support and solutions during scheduled system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Participate in Engineering Review Board meetings
  • Implement and troubleshoot applications such as SQL, Exchange 2016, Exchange Online, Office 365, ADFS, Azure, OneDrive and other Wintel related applications and operating systems.

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: 

  • 3+ years establishing and maintaining O365 Exchange mailboxes, user accounts, distribution groups and providing input on enterprise exchange policies and procedures

  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Server and Active Directory
  • PowerShell expertise.
  • Must have excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with Skype for Business and/or Azure IaaS/PaaS
  • Experience with ADFS
  • Experience working in a consulting environment
