GDIT has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) Software at Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), GA.  This position requires someone with a current and active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain Poly.

Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) System Engineer primarily supports the GRCS with initializing, placing into operation and the troubleshooting software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication system being supported. 

Responsibilities:

  • Initialize, install and troubleshoot software interfaces.
  • Assist new users with managing system requirements to include data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records.
  • Provide over the shoulder technical assistance or training to troubleshoot software installation, software updates, and software fixes and be capable of being able to provide other required support. 
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure software.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Ensure highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Monitor and test software application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes. 
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for databases.
  • Write and maintain custom software scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • May participate in the design of information and operational support systems. 
  • Primarily supports family of systems - Operational Intelligence (OGS) for Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) Software and TWISTer antenna.  Specializes in supporting GRCS Software.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in OGS or GRCS software support required.

  • BS and 3, AA and 5 or HS and 7 yrs experience.  Will consider combinations of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Military experience is desirable.
  • TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI poly
