Our company delivers IT enterprise solutions, manages large-scale, mission-critical IT programs and provides mission support services.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer responsible for building production ML/DL model containers and pipelines at scale, with big data technologies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of optimal data pipeline architecture, including optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data, leveraging Databricks notebooks, Apache Spark (SQL, Python, Scala) and other Microsoft Azure or open-source tools as required

  • Maintaining high quality documentation about data structures in shared data governance tool for the business to access

  • Collaboration with data owners, data stewards, analysts, software developers and DBAs


  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience

  • Fluent in data science programing languages such as Python, R and at least one other programming language, e.g., Java, C#, especially on GPU

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of software/engineering lifecycle and principles (source control/git, debugging, testing, Jenkins, deployment, model retraining, CI/DC)

  • Experience with Apache Spark, Python, SQL or relational databases, Hadoop, Databricks and data pipeline management in Spark for batch and streaming.

  • Building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

  • With deep learning frameworks/tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch/ PyCharm and Keras
