The Virtualization System Administrator will be responsible for:
Managing and troubleshooting Microsoft WIN20XX, VMware vSphere, VMware vRealize Cloud Management Suite with emphasis on automation, and enterprise storage and backup system administration, installation and on-going maintenance experience.
Working with VMware software defined data center products and tools for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Configure, Optimize, Manage, and Administer physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows 2012/2016 servers
Support and management of server virtualization, server provisioning, physical server maintenance, security compliance and daily operations
Maintain server lifecycle – resource allocation, provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of the hardware
Maintain the virtualized server environment via configuration, implementation, management and support activities
Maintain the security baseline compliance via configuration, implementation, and remediation activities (familiarity with DoD DISA STIG compliance requirements)
Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environment’s health status, service performance, and utilization using VMware vRealize Operations Manager
Analyze, test, and apply regular security patches and software update as required
In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of Virtualization products and capabilities
Ability to analyze and apply virtualization product capabilities to changing program requirements

Performs all other work as assigned.
5+ years of experience experience with Systems Administration/Virtualization
BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
Top Secret Security Clearance
8140.01M IAT Level II certification
Virtualization compute environment certification required, i.e. VMware certification for Data Center Virtualization (DCV)
