CONTINGENT - NOT FULLY FUNDEDNetwork Services is currently seeking a Network Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance. Candidate must be able to remotely administer Cisco/Juniper devices and General Dynamics/Third Party encryptors.

Flexibility Requirement:

  • NOC is 24x7 shift work; to include weekends and holiday for all employees
    • Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm
    • Swing Shift: 2pm – 10:30pm
    • Mid Shift: 10:30pm – 6am
Skill Requirements:
  • Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks
  • Extensive experience monitoring and configurating crypto equipment. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
  • Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience
  • Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures
  • Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability
  • Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting Experience with WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192)
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment
  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed by GDIT Management
  • Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10G encryptors)
  • Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment
  • Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards
  • Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades
  • Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results
  • Provides advice and training to end-users.
  • May provide professional leadership to less-experienced network personnel
  • Participates in special projects as required
Additional Requirements:
  • Weekend work may be required to support Enterprise outages
  • Ability to work independently within a Team Concept
  • Certifications: IAT II (required) CCNA (preferred)
  • Must have a TS/SCI Clearance and the ability to obtain Poly
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 5-8 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.

The likely salary range for this position is $64,000 - $96,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
