Principal Systems Architect – Active Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Required

HOW A PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Oversee all technology and technological resources, establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans.
  • Lead the ideation and development of innovative and differentiating technical and engineering solutions that support the agency’s strategy.  
  • Set strategy and make executive technology decisions that align the agency with its vision and technological needs.
  • Develop objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.
  • Lead teams in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs.
  • Design and lead the implementation of agency strategy for technology while ensuring the implementation and enforcement of technology standards across the agency.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field.  Experience may be substituted for education.
  • Required Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience.
  • Required Technical Skills: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment.
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI Eligible
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally; Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available
