GDIT is hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team to provide planning programming, budgeting and execution support to the Department of Army (USAMMDA) located at the GDIT office (not on customer site) in Frederick, MD.

The financial support includes the following tasks:

 

  • Support all aspects of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) to include but not limited to: Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Program Decision Memoranda, Program Budget Decisions, Future Years Defense Program, and Budget Estimate Submission, Execution Reviews, Fiscal Year Budget Planning.
  • Provide assistance with product specific medical materiel development budget formulations, justifications, and oversight monitoring, and submission of status reports and accompanying recommendations. Help build the spend plan and maintain it.
  • Assist with product-specific medical materiel development, technical, performance, and cost and schedule data reporting requirements, taking into consideration their subsequent application to assessment of overall program completion status, including current and strategic requirements.
  • Assist in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) process in the collection, compilation, and presentation of budgetary data for inclusion in decision review packages.
  • Assist with preparing business case analyses and conduct reviews of fiscal risk areas. 
  • Coordinate and consolidate financial input into monthly financial reports from USAMMDAs financial systems on obligation and disbursement status of the organization's product portfolio.
  • Provide and analyze reports on programmatic planning and execution data, provide periodic updates to financial plans, inclusive of planned release schedules noting current fiscal year activity, and submit reports that will be used to brief senior management and external funding organizations.
  • Provide financial management support to the overall organization portfolio to update and reconcile product business plan data to actual budget and execution and future spend plan data details.
  • Use the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), initiate Purchase Requisitions, execute monthly financial reports for obligations and disbursement rates, and query multiple reports.
  • Prepare contract packages to support timely awards and facilitate the acquisition process, as needed, to ensure contracts and agreements operate smoothly.
  • Have the ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism, and to respond quickly to quick turnaround taskers. 
  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

  • 5 years of related finance or business analysis experience.
  • Have excellent Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • An ability to apply interpersonal skills, knowledge in the areas of DoD financial management, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) processes required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, required.
  • Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
  • working Knowledge of GFEBS, a plus.
