Join General Dynamic Information Technology’s (GDIT’s) Defense Division to provide Systems Engineering services for an exciting new contract.  As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for design, documentation, implementation and management of IT services for a hybrid cloud capability.  You will manage Enterprise IT Systems to enable highly available and secure services between on-premise data center capabilities and cloud services.

Candidate will demonstrate ability to manage the technical systems engineering life cycle(s) including requirements analysis, configuration, design, development, testing and deployment of systems. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues. Experience in evaluating, testing, deploying and maintaining both custom developed and third-party software upgrades. Demonstrate ability in creating and maintaining system architecture and troubleshooting documentation. Demonstrate ability to prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, and implementation plans. Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions. Research and document analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements. Anticipate and address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems. Other responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Develop deployment support documentation

  • Work with the management to develop deployment specifications and configurations

  • Analyze and troubleshoot deployment issues in a •timely manner

  • Act as customer contact for deployment-related inquiries and issues

  • Install and test hardware as required

Qualifications:      

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or in an engineering related discipline and 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience to include 3+ years of Cloud Service experience; additional experience / certifications may be considered in place of education

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility

  • IT System expertise (IdAM, Active Directory, Windows Server, Storage, Virtualization)

  • Expertise of information technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment

  • Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations

  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification

  • Able to travel 5-10% to VA/MD/DC area

Additional Desired Skills or Experience:

  • Expertise in cloud service delivery network models

  • Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures

  • Experience with MS Office 365 design, deployment and migration

  • Experience with managed service delivery models

  • Experience with hybrid and cloud service delivery models

  • MCSE, Azure, Office 365 or Equivalent Certifications
