The work unit is comprised of dozens of contractor and staff personnel and provides substantial procurement and traditional logistics services in support of the local, domestic field and foreign field operations. Logistics personnel support all of the Sponsor mission elements, including those that are associated with domestic and field sites. Logistics services are provided through several teams that include officers and contractors serving in geographically-oriented shared services platforms and officers and contractors that are co-located with the other Sponsor mission elements and/or with other support centers. The Sponsor office is a worldwide team that is collaborative and synergistic, that is integrated into mission, and that leverages technology to develop and deliver agile solutions. The office is looking for a results oriented team player, flexible, and willing to meet the challenges and changing needs of the organization. This Logistics generalist (LG) should also be able to interpret, understand, and adjust to time sensitive requirements.
The Logistics Generalist will be involved in providing customer support to both internal and external customers. This office is heavily weighted toward Accountable Property control but does cover the full range of logistical duties to include procurements, accountable property, shipping and receiving. Team consists of one deployed staff Logistics Officer and is aligned with five logistical teams based on organizational and geographic structures and locations.
The LG is required to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining good communications with the team. Both transactional and dynamic work. Customer oriented. Must have both written and verbal communication skills. Arrival and departure are governed by the core hours of the customer - 0700 to 1600. Work schedule shifts preferred to cover majority of core hours. Must be able to lift boxes to package for shipping and Property Turn-In (PTI). Must be able to cover multiple WMA buildings based on ad hoc requirements of customer.
