Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Maintenance Engineer for Robins AFB, GA.

The Cloud Maintenance Engineer provides management, engineering support, quality assurance and technical support for an integrated and responsive Cloud based operations and sustainment in support of the US Air Force’s GEOINT, SIGINT, and Multi-INT ACAT programs. The Cloud Maintenance Engineer serves as the primary POC supporting the PM and Government customer. The Cloud Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining Commercial Cloud Services solutions for the AF DCGS applications and software to include both technical issues and businesses processes for architectures in the unclassified and Top Secret environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI)
  • DCGS experience
  • Demonstrated experience to analyze customer requirements and provide technical expertise on cloud computing techniques and technologies
  • Experience in evaluating cloud strategy and program architecture
  • Knowledge in managing and maintaining cloud/system infrastructure and processes related to ISR systems
  • Ability and experience in maintaining functional design specifications, architectures, and render support with other cloud project deliverables
  • 5+ years experience in deployment, management and operations of cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Experience in providing support for development in or transition to the cloud, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage cloud/system infrastructure and any process related to these systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for any customer support requirement

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience providing DoD cloud management and sustainment in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with overseeing and implementing large-scale Cloud DoD ISR programs and initiatives
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software in a cloud based (AWS & Azure) environment
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization
  • Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Travel Required: 10-25%
