GDIT is looking for a Cloud Engineer Architect to provide enterprise cloud services for an exciting Law Enforcement contract. As a Cloud Engineer Architect you will be tasked with providing cutting edge solutions and forward-thinking ideas. You will be responsible for providing expertise on architecture and making recommendations to improve performance and conduct work estimation and develop work plans. Communicate with the client to ensure adherence to relevant architectural artifacts such as policies, standards, guidelines, roadmaps and maturity models. Provide management and consulting services to support cloud services and security for both classified and SBU private cloud operations. The Cloud Engineer Architect must be able to define and promote enterprise architecture standards and strategies. Provide technology and architectural leadership, strategic direction and long-term mission for the client and inspire creative solutions for maximizing the value contribution of that investment.
Required qualifications and knowledge areas include:
Active DoD clearance, minimum level Secret;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field Minimum 10 years of System Architecture experience and at least 8 years of Cloud Engineering / Architecture experience; additional experience / certifications may be considered in place of education.
Strong understanding of cloud technology and its implementation across major Cloud providers (ex. Azure, AWS and Google)
Experience implementing and operating an enterprise-scale cloud, including service catalog and service enablement automation, DevOps automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelining, automated delivery models, cross-region DR and active-active architecture, tagging frameworks, audit controls
An expertise for best practice in design, development, test and Agile development
Minimum 10 years’ in systems integration experience
Architects cloud migration solutions using proven methodologies and tools
Recommend long-term direction on strategic advancements within the contracting agency’s portfolio.
Define and maintain standards for artifacts containing architectural content within the operating model.
Offer insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging trends and technical capabilities.
Experience applying a deep understanding of governance, compliance, and cyber security (ATO, System Security, Risk Management, Incident Management)
Assist/Support developers troubleshooting efforts of applications in Cloud environments. Timely resolution/investigation of deployments and development environment issues
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Additional Desired Skills or Experience/Certification(s):
Expertise in Cloud service design and architecture
Experience using hybrid Multi cloud
AWS and/or Azure advance architect certification
Experience designing and implementing technologies following NIST standards, such as SP 800-53, SP 800-190, and SP 500-291
Experience with cloud native architecture and development. Proven expertise with modern architecture techniques including micro services and event driven architectures
Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures
Working knowledge of Cloud management technologies such as ServiceNow, CloudForms, VMware Cloud Foundation suite and others
