Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are searching for a Field Electronics Technician with special qualifications to support the Navigation, Seamanship, and Ship-handling Trainer (NSST) program in Orlando, FL.
The NSST is a computerized bridge simulator that allows Sailors to practice ship handling, navigation, and visual information skills in a controlled environment.
As the Field Technician you:
Will help configure and install simulation technology, both hardware and software, at various customer sites.
Assist on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.
Utilize analytical and critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment or systems.
Apply theories and write reports to outline issues and solutions.
The position resides in Orlando, FL, but you will travel to:
Yokosuka and Sasebo, Japan
Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii

AAS degree; 2 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
1+ years previous experience in electronics support
Experience traveling to field sites preferred
Valid US Passport
US Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision
Availability to travel 30% of the time including OCONUS
Availability to work different shifts
Ability to report on-site in Orlando
