General Dynamics Information Technology, a world leader in Defense IT Systems Integration and Services is seeking Storage Administrator to join its Air Force (AF) Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team to provide modernization, integration and sustainment engineering, sustainment planning, systems/Software (SW)/baseline testing, integrated cyber security support, Enterprise Services Support (ESS), Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) support, cloud migration, and Hardware (HW)/SW installation and removal services for the integrated sustainment of the AF DCGS. This includes lab support for operational, production, and test environments. The required services shall be provided primarily at Robins AFB, GA; Beale AFB, CA; Hanscom AFB, MA; and JBLE, VA, Hawaii, Korea, and Germany. However, support is also required at other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS.
HOW A STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Installs, maintains, and improves system configurations and solutions, as well as monitoring and auditing system utilization, performance, and problems.
Provides full life cycle storage area network (SAN) administration, architecture, and support including storage utilization/capacity planning and adjusting storage requirements.
Performs data migration tasks from direct attached storage and within SAN environments.
Designs modifications and changes to the SAN infrastructure and assists in the implementation and documentation of all configuration changes.
Evaluates new technologies and architecting solutions.
Performs daily activities including management, zoning, provisioning, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Uses storage management tools to discover, monitor, provision, and report on the storage infrastructure.
Participates in root cause analysis for significant problems and suggests clear recommendations for improvements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: ● Education: BA/BS or MA/MS with at least 10 years of experience ● Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience ● Required Technical Skills: Security+ required. System Administrator 451 compliant
● Security Clearance Level: Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
● Preferred Skills: IAT Level 1 desired ● Location: On Customer Site ● US Citizenship Required
