At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • Flexible work schedule with core hours between 0900-1500
  • This office organizes equipment installation for mission essential communication throughout the Washington Metro Area
  • Very fast paced organization and the selected individual will provide logistical support across multiple branches within the transportation services group
  • The scope of work will consist of, but is not limited to, initiation/coordinating/processing of procurement shipping/transportation coordination, and accountable property
  • The nature of the work consists of coordinating with facilities management for shipping equipment and ordering general office supplies. Ensure that all purchased material, supplies and property turn-ins contain proper documentation
  • Review existing on-hand inventory against standard inventory targets on at least a monthly basis for packet-devices, and initiate and manage procurements as necessary to maintain target inventory levels
  • Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills
  • Processes inventory requests and validates receipt of goods and materials against requirements; ensures inventory requests are fulfilled
  • Will coordinate with Sponsor, research best transportation options and determine best shipping methods based on Customer, cargo type, and/or consignee timeline requirements
  • Will need to validate Bill of Material (BOM) cost provided by PM/engineer against existing vendor purchase cost agreements
  • Will need to report discrepancies, current inventory bench stock on hand, and specialized metrics that will allow management to receive a clear understanding of the status of accountable property
  • POV can be used if contractor needs to go to another location other than assigned duty location

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma
  • 5 years of experience
  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Required to lift to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office including advanced proficiency with Outlook, including Excel and Word at the intermediate level.  Price-estimate tool advanced level, Product and Service Catalog advanced level, Lotus Notes basic proficiency, Adobe basic proficiency, SharePoint basic proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
  • Must be able to drive Sponsor vehicle including small box truck (no CDL required) and to operate MHE such as pallet jacks
