  • Develop, install, maintain, and support technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components
  • Manage an IT lab environment that includes network equipment, servers, and virtualized applications
  • Configure, debug, and support multiple infrastructure platforms
  • Perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures
  • Administer Linux and Unix OS and provisioning applications
  • Administer Microsoft Windows Server OS environments//Active Directory
  • Administer Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Acumulo and provisioning software
  • Administer VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning software
  • Administer storage platforms which provision the environment
  • Evaluate system problems of workflow, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
  • Perform quality control of processes and products produced
  • Assist with formulating technical strategies and processes for administered systems
  • Write, interpret, and analyze technical documentation related to system administration

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
  • Hands‑on experience in Cisco, Arista, Checkpoint, Palo Alto and F5 platform configuration
  • Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP4, OSPF, IPSEC, HSRP, 802.11, QoS)
  • Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux OS for application installation and resolving vulnerabilities through patching
  • Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, systems, and circuits (e.g., Ethernet, Sonet, TDM circuits, etc.)
  • 2+ years supporting current Windows desktop technologies, LANs, and some exposure to Microsoft Server. Specifics include:
    • All current Microsoft Desktop OSs (latest/current OS)
    • Exposure to Microsoft Windows Server (latest/current OS)
    • Active Directory account management, Group Policy within Windows Desktop
    • Solid understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals and related equipment (switches, routers, etc.)
    • Experience with multi-user remote access technologies preferred, but not required.
    • A+ and Net+ preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Linux and Unix OSs and provisioning applications
  • Experience with Windows Server OS environments
  • Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory
  • Experience with Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Acumulo and provisioning software
  • Experience with VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning software
