As a Scrum Master supporting the Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership, you will be trusted to translate data science projects for Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) detection into project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, configuring the tools to track them through their lifecycle to completion and reporting. You will be a part of a 12-person team supporting the GDIT Trusted Third Party fraud, waste and abuse data analytics.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • This position is within a multi-disciplinary team of Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Analysts and Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) Subject Matter Experts (SME). Our team is 100% remote and distributed throughout the country.
  • This position will be responsible for supporting FWA study development and execution activities in a multi-payer type environments, tracking the lifecycle of analytic projects.
  • The Scrum Master creates the project management framework for tracking analytic projects in Atlassian products, Confluence and Jira and assists in defining the various dashboards and statistical measures using available data with Jira or other logs. The Scrum Master will organize and facilitate SCRUM ceremonies like daily standups, Sprint Planning/Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives with teams in various stages of maturity and platforms from inception, design, deliverable, to support. 
  • This team member will solicit the subject matter input from the mid-sized, multi-disciplinary analytic project team to establish direction for the project, plan schedules, track project and assist with assembling reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • The Scrum Master assists in driving and documenting the development, configuration, migration, integration, testing and maintenance of data pipelines tied to the analytic methodologies generated by the data scientists and Subject Matter Experts.
  • The team member will also assist with establishing project plans for new project types, helping to develop the appropriate lifecycle.
  • This position will also be called upon to work with other TTP staff to document according to standards and patterns such as CMMI and ADF. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Certified Scrum Master or similar Scrum certification
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance measures required
  • Experience in all areas of the SDLC
  • Experience with theme, epic, task, and story development
  • Experience with SAFe (scaled agile framework) or ADF (agile development framework)
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (including at least Jira or Confluence)
  • Experience directing daily Scrums, Retrospectives, and other Agile meetings
  • Baltimore, MD metropolitan area, as Scrum Master may be asked to attend small client sessions in Windsor Mill, MD (barring restrictions related to COVID-19)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in Tableau software.
  • JSQL/SQL experience to build Jira or Confluence dashboards, pages and sites that are low maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical language to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet established deadlines and satisfy internal and external customer demands
  • Proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Ability to present information in small client-facing sessions.
