GDIT is seeking an Asset Management Lead/SME for our Healthcare General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) program at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in Windsor Mill, MD.  The Asset Management Lead/SME will work closely with the Hosting, Operations, PMO, and Applications teams to lead Asset Management efforts.

Residency Requirements: The candidate must prove a 3 year residency in the United States for at least 3 years


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the implementation of a SW Asset Management (SAM) tool.
  • Gather requirements, design, and implement Asset Management processes and toolsets to transition from a manual tracking system such as excel into a SAM tool.
  • Present asset information to the client, such as the status of an asset, the renewal period, entitlement compliance status, where the asset is physically located, and maintenance agreement information.
  • Manage the uploading of managed hardware and software assets in into a SAM tool and maintain Asset records.
  • Maintains inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) hardware and serves as program point of contract for Government Property Management.
  • Provides ongoing monitoring, reporting and analysis for SW inventory and entitlement compliance and HW inventory management.
  • Create and maintains all documentation and command media related to Asset Management.
  • Create, manage, and maintain BOM or inventory and tracking documentation for all vendor deliverables for internal and external reporting and management purposes.
  • Facilitate team-based sizing exercises, capacity management tasks, and data-calls for Hardware and Software.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of related work experience in related Information Technology field.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of network discovery technologies.
  • Must have experience using, administering, and implementing SW Asset Management toolsets.
  • Must have strong organizational skills to inventory, track, and manage all SW and HW assets.
  • Must have experience with procurements of Hardware, Software, ODCs, and Support/License renewals.
  • MUST have the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, or Aspera
  • ServiceNow certifications or learning courses.
  • Team leadership or project leadership experience
