Job Description

As a Technical Service Delivery Lead for Data Center and Cloud Modernization Services, you will lead the service delivery on a program that operates, maintains, and modernizes data center / cloud infrastructure and platforms for a federal government customer.


The Technical Service Delivery Lead supports operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, oversees deployments, provides expeditious resolution of service incidents, and ensures client-stakeholder and contractual service level agreements and objectives are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate projects high energy, possesses a passion for state-of-the-art technology, and speaks comfortably from a technical perspective with clients, our partners, and across the team. Candidates should have strong IT Service Management and ITIL experience, including life cycle management for systems integration and/or implementation and will have participated in large-scale system integration or release management efforts, using agile methodology for development and deployment processes. They also must have experience managing and coordinating the efforts of multiple Agile Teams and be able to lead them to a higher level on the DevSecOps maturity curve.


The scope of responsibilities includes data center, network, and cloud modernization strategy, managed services, process streamlining for data center operations, application team deployments, and cloud service provisioning.


Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems in the subject matter area. Make recommendations and advise on organization-wide system improvements, optimization or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; lifecycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation.

Functional Responsibilities: Serve as the Technical Service Delivery Lead on an enterprise data center, network, and cloud operations and modernization contract responsible for organizing, directing, and managing multiple complex and inter-related transitional projects that often require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations.

  • Leads and manages a team of both local and remote/datacenter service delivery talent
  • Works alongside and across teams and departments to ensure that business and service-level expectations (SLAs, SLOs) are exceeded
  • Supports targeted efforts improve enterprise reliability, maintainability, availability, and recoverability
  • Builds on past success in driving exceptional customer service objectives, methods, and metrics
  • Collaborates with incident response teams to mitigate severity events
  • Ensures timely and accurate communications to the customer
  • Ensures processes, procedures, and documentation are maintained, updated, and executed
  • Creatively and continuously improves technology services processes
  • Serves as a strong proponent of excellence in customer service
  • Ensures consistent use of processes and best practices

Minimum/General Experience: This position requires a minimum of ten years progressive experience in managing the operations and maintenance and delivery of projects on data centers and infrastructure programs, and using Agile software development and DevSecOps methodologies. Experience should include:

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate complex architectures to non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience leading successful service delivery and incident management teams
  • Service delivery experience with large scale, enterprise IT systems
  • Experience in infrastructure and application management best practices and tools
  • Experience in infrastructure, networking, database, application and system security, and web technologies
  • Experience leveraging cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) with infrastructure solutions and applications
  • Currency with latest techniques and technologies in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous assessment
  • Experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps methodologies

Minimum Education and Certifications:

  • A BA/BS degree computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
  • ITIL Certified (current) or equivalent preferred.
  • Cisco certifications preferred
  • Cloud certifications preferred (GCP, Azure, AWS)
