Our business internship allows you the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team that is helping to solve our clients most complex issues. Throughout GDITs 10-week summer internship program you will work on innovative projects that touch areas such as Contract Management, Finance Accounting, Human Resources, Proposal Writing, Consulting, and other related areas depending on your background and interest. As an intern, you will have real responsibilities and work alongside experienced and innovative industry professionals. Your internship experience will equip you with best in class skills to take back to the classroom.

GDIT is seeking a Contracts Administrator Associate (Intern) Remote in Herndon, VA area

Profile

As a Contract Administration Intern you will actively support the daily operation of the Contracts Department of the GDIT Intelligence & Homeland Security Division (IHS). This experience will help you learn facets of GDITs Contract Management functional role and responsibility in the organization. Gain direct work experience and exposure by working directly with the IHS Contract Management professionals, program and other functional teams.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Support Contract Staff in the contract administration process.
• Ensure compliance of contract file documentation.
• Assist with record retention.
• Generate reports.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Assist with data calls.
• Support new business proposal activities and perform special projects as required.
• Assist with the annual internal Organization Conflict of Interest Audits.
• Assist in contract closeout by routing the spreadsheet/checklist for the closeouts, locating documentation as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the Contract Value/Funds Tracker.
• Be a team player and develop strong working relationships with team mates and internal customers.

Requires

• 1-2 years experience.
• Prior work experience in a business office environment, specifically government contracting a plus.
• Preference for candidates considering a career in contracts, subcontracts and/or procurement.
