At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  As a .NET Software Developer the SEC Services Directorate is responsible for the maintenance and sustainment of business applications used within CECOM and SEC and customer applications for outside organizations - including Army Materiel Command (AMC), Department of the Army (DA), Department of Defense (DoD), and other Government agencies. In this role, a typical day will include:

The Software Engineer provides:

  • Works as a part of an Agile software team utilizing the Scrum framework, providing secure and efficient code to turn customer vision into reality.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain software systems, including application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
  • Design, develop, document and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.
  • Formulate and analyze software requirements.
  • Work with analysts to understand interface requirements.
  • Maintains software for a variety of supported business applications.
  • Performs technical troubleshooting to find and resolve application defects.
  • Utilizes work-tracking software such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps (ADO), or JIRA to assist in team workflow planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
  • IA Technical Level: IAT-1
  • Security Clearance – Secret
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: C#.Net, ASP.NET, Web Forms, Classic ASP, HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Server Database.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology, specifically SCRUM and KANBAN frameworks.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
