Cloud Engineer/Developer

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Engineer/Developer to support a complex federal contract that enables the delivery and maintenance of cloud capabilities and improves software development processes.

The program the Cloud Engineer/Cloud Developer support involves operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms for a federal government customer.  This program includes cloud modernization strategy, cloud managed services, developing processes for cloud service provisioning, requirements development, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.

The incumbent:

  • Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions.
  • Analyzes customer requirements and may provide technical knowledge on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of moderate to high complexity.
  • Research, evaluation, and deployment of cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
  • Work on data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
  • Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • May serve as a team or task leader.  Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cloud development personnel.


  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • AWS or related certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a government security investigation for Public Trust.
