GDIT is seeking an Army Business Development Director to focus on pursuing opportunities and growing business within our Training, Operations and Logistics, and Enterprise IT Service Management business areas. A strong background and focus within areas like cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise IT or software development is key for this role, as is an understanding of Army customer environments, especially within Army Headquarters, PEO-EIS, AMC-HQ and other accounts. The position will support our Defense Division and can be fully remote with occasional travel to our headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, as well as customer sites, as needed or required.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of account growth and strategy, new business development and customer relationship management across all levels within assigned accounts.
Lead identification and qualification of new business opportunities (i.e. pipeline) that support the account plan, Sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle.
Develop, sustain and strengthen key customer relationships – cultivate trust by engaging with good ideas and concepts that add value to their mission.
Translate technical requirements and customer pain points and overall points of view for Capture and CTO organizations
Engage with broad community impacting your customer - OEM vendors, other GD business units, and potential industry partners - to collect information about opportunities and customer needs.
Maintain rigor by executing call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proffers and tests potential solutions; qualifies opportunities; document customer meetings in Salesforce.
Develop and brief Pursuit Reviews through company governance process, making case to senior leaders for investment in opportunity
Lead identification, qualification, and capture on select OTAs with assistance from the Defense CTO/SA.
Collaborate across the GDIT organization, but especially with the Capture and CTO organizations.
Active Secret Clearance
10+ years of Sales/BD/Capture/Proposal experience within the DoD/Army environment
Experience managing a pipeline of business focused on year-over-year Growth and conversion from opportunity identification to pursuit
Experience identifying and winning business in excess of $50 million in total contract value
Knowledge and experience of the Army budget and acquisition process
Passion for applying technology to solve carry out complex mission and operations, including focus on emerging\commercial technology
Experience developing and maintaining close relationships with key program managers and decision makers in the Department of the Army
Experience developing Account Strategies
Experience with CRM tools (e.g. SalesForce), SharePoint, and all Microsoft Office applications
Strong technical background
Significant experience converting identified opportunities to pursuits over a time horizon optimized for successful capture
