GDIT has an opportunity for an experienced Agile DevSecOps Manager to join an IT Operations Project in support of the Federal Government to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. The candidate will lead all Agile DevSecOps tasking as directed by the

government and provide detailed reports regarding that tasking. The individual will develop plans based on SAFe best practices and refine those plans to

maximize efficiency and effective of development operations. Successful

candidate utilizes expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled

technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents. The qualified candidate will perform the following tasks:

  • Develops plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s)
  • Support risk assessments and develop risk mitigation countermeasures
  • Establishes and defines program plan requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans
  • Experience driving discussions with senior government personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
  • Serves as an Agile Coach who will educate others to adopt an Agile mindset
  • Advocate a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring and advising to advance mature practices and behaviors
  • Remove portfolio impediments and champion the Agile methodology
  • Coach the teams in all scrum tasks like sprint planning, user story mapping, estimations, daily stand ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Provide Engineering expertise in support of a large, leading edge, agile-based, cybersecurity system
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and business owners to provide guidance and recommendations on improving IT infrastructure
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks along with an ability to offer and implement solutions to address these.
  • Experience creating dashboards to track service health that appeal to both technical and non-technical audiences preferably with Splunk.
  • Skilled at directing a large team, and executing responsibilities without direct supervisor.
  • Experience working within the federal government or serving federal government clients on Agile-based development contract
  • Guide the team and all other stakeholders on DevOps practices (Pipeline, collaboration, Test Driven Development, CI/CD and continuous ATOs
  • Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes
  • Uses exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact regularly with high-level customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Experience as an agile coach providing thought leadership in an agile or SAFe program with DevSecOps
  • Experience as an instructor leading agile training or providing leadership in helping teams transform from waterfall to agile practices
  • Responsible for team and program level implementation using agile practices
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer or Scrum master
  • Responsible for instilling an agile culture using techniques from a wide range of agile, (SAFe®) or DevSecOps methodologies and frameworks.

Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance.  Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
- 10+ years of directly relevant experience

- 20+ years of total experience preferred
- Able to effectively work as a leader, in a group, or as an individual contributor
- Ability to create a vision and lead teams on large- and small-scale activities
- Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

- Knowledge and experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar framework
- Experience and/or familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and automated test tools.

Required Education:
MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering.  


Successful candidate will have completed the following certifications:

  • SAFe POPM, SAFe Scrum Master,
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification
  • Scaled Agile DevOps Certification
  • Scaled Agile SAFe 5 SPC certification
  • AWS Certifications
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II
  • CSSLP
