Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join our team.

  • Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks
  • Implement products lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance
  • Develop and adhere to best-practices for developing applications
  • Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Design and develop specialized user solutions, applications and databases using a hybrid Agile approach within a DevOps environment
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for deployed applications and databases (if needed)
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Maintain code integrity and organization
  • Collaborate with team to design and launch new features
  • Interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and enabling tools and technologies, such as AWS Cloud  
  • Familiar with Amazon Web Managed Services (AWS) and cross domain data services
  • Proficient using Javascript, Angular, React, Node.js, MongoDB, JSON, XML
  • High experience level with back-end programming languages such as Java/Spring, C#, Python
  • Working knowledge with software platforms and services, such as Docker, Kubernetes, SQS/SNS, Kafka, AWS Lambda
  • Working knowledge with datastores –  SQL Server, PostgreSQL
  • Working knowledge with latest Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
  • Familiar with Configuration Management and CI Tools, such as Git/Gitlab, Jenkins, SonarQube
  • Working knowledge with public keys and digital certificates
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Working knowledge with Collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct Experience with CMS data architectures and environments preferred
  • Certification such as AWS Associate or Professional Solution Architect preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments
  • Expertise in various COTS and open source tools which support development of data integration and  visualization applications
  • Experience with APIs and usage of push notifications

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
