HOW BEING A CLOUD ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT?

The Sponsor champions data management, governance, accessibility and quality in accordance with the official enterprise data strategy and strategic direction implemented by the Sponsor’s Chief Data Officer.  The Sponsor delivers high quality, timely and secure information technology solutions and services in support of a global business system ecosystem. The Sponsor requires support for the Sponsor data repository for enterprise systems, a centralized database for corporate data shared by many applications Sponsor wide, the Sponsor Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) and the migration of data to new repositories to support the Sponsor’s business data strategy.
 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience utilizing Oracle, PostgreSQL and modern database technologies.

• Demonstrated experience developing and interfacing with Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

• Demonstrated experience performing testing and quality assurance of developed solutions within the existing Oracle data tier.

• Demonstrated experience developing, creating, and modifying data structure and data load routines for analytic use cases.

• Demonstrated experience working with relational data tiers including cleansing, transforming and processing of structured data.

• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting applications using Java, JavaScript, and Python.

• Demonstrated experience working with views, triggers and Oracle PL and SQL.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Amazon Web Services environments, including RDS, S3, etc.

• Demonstrated experience aligning data architecture with enterprise strategy and architectures that integrate and improve the quality of enterprise data

•  Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience as agile scrum master and agile development team member.

• Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services/Cloud Data Migration Services.

• Demonstrated experience with JIRA.

• Demonstrated experience with IMMUTA data policy.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating and presenting technical information with Sponsor staff, IT customers, and other technical and non-technical staff and contractors at all levels.

• Demonstrated experience with a variety of data repository types (i.e., relational, NoSQL, distributed processing framework, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience creating and interfacing with REST APIs.
