The Unified Capabilities(UC) Voice Technician must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of UC hardware and software for CISCO Voice Systems in providing high-level support and technical expertise in unified capabilities.
Experience required in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) and Cisco Meeting Server (CMS).
Requires the ability of working with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on unified capabilities implementation, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing management.
Preferred experience in security for Authentication, Certificates, and Encryption.
Certification Requirements: CCNP Collaboration and at least five years working as a UC technician or equivalent.
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May have to work afterhours/weekends to resolve issues and/or support exercises.
